Since 1957, our daily goal is to produce quality cheese with selected and guaranteed raw materials. The Palazzo family, now on the third generation, works with the typical Apulian dairy products, which are an authentic expression of the food culture of the area – the Murgia Barese territory -, always focused on nutritional values as well as on the production chain. The veins of karstic rocks that cross it, the underground rivers that flow through it, the gently rolling hills of olive trees that slope toward the sea all create the ideal environmental setting for the pastures from which the milk is produced and processed according to the principles of a craftsmanship which has been handed down through the centuries while adhering to the most advanced quality standards.

The sixtieth year of our business is an important milestone that we are celebrating in a year of great growth, in which we present innovative products, new organic lines and important quality certifications. At the beginning of our story, Caseificio Palazzo was only just a small family-run cheese factory. Many years have passed since then but certain values, for us, have remained the same. Even today, our products are loved and distributed all over the world through a widespread and efficient international logistics network guaranteeing delivery directly to modern and traditional distribution warehouses and then on to the single point of sale.

Murgella: the essence of Puglia.

The processing of the milk, collected from local farms, and the formation of curds through the whey starter culture makes it possible to obtain a true, typically Apulian product, rich in nutritional ingredients and with its own particular characteristics of fragrance, softness, flavour and lightness. Murgella offers a wide range of products that covers the entire line of pasta filata cheeses and more: from mozzarella to scamorza, from burrata to stracciatella, from caciocavallo silano PDO to cacioricotta.

All of these cheeses are available at both the deli counter as well as in pre-packed containers. We use only the most fresh and accurately selected raw materials using handmade processes and maintaining the highest quality standards in order to guarantee that our cheese is the authentic expression of the land it comes from.
